This converter only works with M.2 SATA SSDs. To identify the type of M.2 drive you have, simply count the number of notches (or keys) on the end of the drive connected to the M.2 connector. M.2 SATA drives have two notches (one M key and one B key), while M.2 PCIe drives have only one (one M key).
