HP JetIntelligence Cartridge
Printers with Dynamic Security: Some HP printers are designed to work only with cartridges containing a new or reused HP chip or circuit. These printers are equipped with a dynamic security feature to block cartridges using a non-HP chip or circuit. Periodic firmware updates ensure the effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. Reused HP chips and circuits allow the use of refilled, remanufactured, or recycled cartridges.
