Description
Stay connected at all times and avoid data loss
As soon as there's a power outage, an APC Smart-UPS immediately provides backup power to all connected equipment. Because an APC UPS performs this operation automatically, you avoid unwanted failures, such as those of a PC, server, or switch. With the free APC PowerChute software, you can even automatically and in a controlled manner shut down critical IT equipment when the UPS battery is nearly depleted. This way, you prevent data loss, downtime, and physical damage to the equipment.
Extend the execution time
You can easily increase the number of minutes the APC SMX UPS can independently provide backup power by connecting external battery packs (SMX48RMBP2U).
A battery life of several hours is even possible.
Network management map
If you connect the UPS directly to your network via the optional APC Network Management Card (AP9640/AP9641), it can be easily managed remotely via SNMP or our EcoStruxure IT Expert Remote Management Software (SFTWES1-DIGI). You can also automatically send a shutdown signal over the network to multiple physical and/or virtual servers. Using the APC PowerChute Network Shutdown Software associated with the network card, you can even differentiate between shutdowns based on their timing and order.
Easy to use
This APC Smart-UPS SMX is easy to use thanks to its LCD screen.
Security
In addition, a Smart-UPS protects connected devices from voltage spikes caused by lightning, among other things. This APC backup power supply is ideal for use in (small) businesses.

Convertible rack/tower
The APC Smart-UPS SMX is rack/tower convertible. Since feet and front rack brackets are included, you can mount it in a 2U rack or place it vertically. If you prefer to mount it on the four rack posts, order the optional SU032A.
Extending lifespan
The internal battery cartridge (APCRBC116) can be easily, safely, and independently replaced by the user without having to shut down the APC SMX750I or any connected equipment. This allows you to easily and cost-effectively extend the life of your APC Smart-UPS and keep your equipment running continuously.
Warranty extension
The SMX750I comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty, except for the battery cartridge, which has a 2-year warranty. Both are extended from 3 to 6 and 5 years respectively with the APC service pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-02).
Switched outlet groups: remote restart and soft start
Thanks to switched outlet groups, it is possible to configure a gradual/delayed power-up for each group of UPS outlets. This reduces the peak load on the UPS and brings it closer to a constant load, thus limiting the need for oversizing the UPS.
It is also possible to reset a group of multiple UPS outputs and the equipment connected to them. If a network card (ap9640) is used in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI), this can even be done remotely.
You also cannot eliminate critical loads; in this way, you prolong the running time of critical equipment.
